We shouldn’t be reopening precipitously

I am asking all elected officials (I have already sent this to several) not to try to open businesses precipitously.

We must keep this virus in check until it has run its course.

Whatever temporary economic relief we might get by jumping the economic gun would pale in comparison to a full-scale outbreak sidelining many workers. Think long-term effects, not short-term gains. Use restraint when tempted to make a few quick bucks at the cost of a possible major outbreak costing the community a much larger expense in medical care and hospitalizations.
