Montezuma Democrats turned out strong at the Colorado Democratic State Convention last weekend in Loveland. The delegates helped nominate Trevor Browning from Mountain Village to run to represent House District 58. The House District meeting also unanimously supported the creation if the Bear’s Ears National Monument in southeast Utah, which has been jointly proposed by the Ute, Hopi, Navajo, and Zuni tribes. On Saturday, Adrianne Plentyholes addressed the full State Convention in support of a resolution to provide education on race, ethnicity, and social position, appropriate to age development. It passed unanimously.
