What is it about “No!” that the Republicans didn’t understand? Obama ran in 2012 on his prime legislative achievement, the Affordable Health Care Act. He won the national election by more than 3 million votes. The House of Representatives tried more than 40 times to repeal Obamacare. It didn’t work! Then they shut down the government because they wanted the repeal of Obamacare as ransom. It didn’t work! Finally they threatened to drive a stake into the heart of America’s international full faith and credit in order to postpone Obamacare. It didn’t work! All of these shenanigans cost our government $24 billion. That comes to $208 per household. I don’t blame the Republicans in the Congress. I blame the people who voted for those representatives who promoted or supported the government shutdown and the fiscal cliff.
Our Congressional district voted for Scott Tipton and he supported all of these anti-democratic motions. I say vote him out of office. He is fiscally irresponsible and is not promoting job creation. When he voted to shut down the government, he still got paid. He surely did not share the pain. What is it about reality that Tipton and his fellow Republicans don’t understand? “It is all about jobs, stupid.“ Why hasn’t the House of Representatives passed 40 laws that increase the number of jobs in this country? Boehner says they fought the good fight. He is way off base. The good fight is to fight for jobs for every American. Scott Tipton owes the Third Congressional district of Colorado and the rest of the citizens of the United State an apology and $208 per household.
