Tuesday, Dec. 3
2:45 a.m. An officer was dispatched to the Speedway gas station, 921 E. Main St., about a possible assault. A man reported a possible assault by another man on a woman. The officer could not confirm the assault occurred. However, the man reporting the assault had three active warrants, and he was arrested and left in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.
7:24 a.m. An officer was dispatched to Denny’s, 2059 E. Main St., about a reported trespasser. The officer made contact with a man who had been issued a trespass notice banning him from the restaurant. The man also appeared intoxicated and he had a protection order banning him from consuming alcohol. The man was arrested and left in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center. He was also issued a summons for trespassing.
10:34 a.m. An officer was dispatched to City Market, 508 E. Main St., about a report of a shoplifting in progress. An employee reported that he saw a man take two bottles of Martinelli Sparkling Cider without paying. The officer issued the man a summons for shoplifting and for having an open container of alcohol.
1:51 p.m. An officer was dispatched to McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St., after a woman said she witnessed a woman steal a package from a residence on Navajo Street and jump into the back seat of a green Taurus. The woman followed the Taurus to the McDonald’s drive-thru. The officer located the package in the Taurus and arrested the woman on suspicion of theft. He also arrested the male driver on two outstanding warrants. Both the woman and the man were left in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.
11:35 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Denny’s, 2059 E. Main St., about a reported trespasser. A man was arrested for trespassing and violating conditions of a bond. He was left in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.
Wednesday, Dec. 4
1:37 p.m. An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Madison Street to serve an active warrant to a man. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
2:48 p.m. An officer saw a man who had an active warrant walking in the 800 block of East Montezuma Avenue. The man was arrested and left in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.
3:36 p.m. An officer issued an active warrant to a male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center.
10:15 p.m. An officer issued a warrant to a male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center.
Thursday, Dec. 5
10:08 a.m. An officer was dispatched to a house in the initial block of Driscoll Street to investigate a reported theft. He confirmed a woman had an active warrant. He arrested the woman and left her in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.
6:45 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., about a reported trespass. A man and a woman were cited for trespassing.
8:33 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road, about a reported assault. A woman was arrested for assaulting a emergency room employee. The woman was issued a summons for third-degree assault and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
Friday, Dec. 6
1:57 a.m. An officer in the 300 block of Elm Street recognized a man who had an active warrant. The man was arrested and left in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.
11:44 a.m. An officer was called to the 10 block of E. 13th Street about a reported assault. A man was arrested for third-degree assault, harassment, domestic violence, violation of a protection order and underage consumption of alcohol. He was left in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.
7:42 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Walmart for a report of a shoplifting in progress. The female suspect had an active warrant and had been issued a trespass notice banning her from Walmart. She was arrested on the active warrant and issued a summons for trespassing. The woman was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
7:57 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Hong Kong restaurant, 332 W. Main St., about a man harassing pedestrians. The man was arrested on two active warrants and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
9:55 p.m. An officer in the 1800 block of East Main Street observed a man moving several tires and looking in the trash at Big O Tires. The man was arrested on an active warrant and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
Saturday, Dec. 7
9:24 a.m. The officer took a report about found property from a woman at the Police Department, 608 N. Park St. The items indicated they came from someone living in the 600 block of South Cedar Street. The items were returned. The officer was informed they had been stolen from a car the previous day.
6 p.m. An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of South Madison Street about a reported drunken driver. A man was arrested on an active warrant and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
Sunday, Dec. 8
8:46 a.m. An officer was dispatched to City Market, 508 N. Main St. about a reported shoplifting. A man was issued a summons for taking a 25-ounce Budweiser and not paying for it.
1:32 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., about a reported shoplifting. An employee reported a man and several women had left the store with a cart full of unpaid items and were heading east on Main Street in a blue Honda. The suspect car was stopped and an employee was brought to the scene and identified the parties suspected of the shoplifting. Unpaid items from the store were discovered in the trunk. A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting. The man was also arrested for violating a protection order banning him from consuming alcohol. Both parties arrested were left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
5:12 p.m. An officer observed a man walking in north on Mildred Road whom he recognized as having an active warrant. The man was arrested and left in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.
6:04 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., about a shoplifting in progress. A man was issued a summons for shoplifting on suspicion of consuming a beer in the restroom.
8:55 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. about a reported shoplifting. A man and two woman had scanned several carts worth of items and tried to leave with them before finishing paying for the items. The suspects fled the scene, and the store recovered all the items. The officer had no leads on the identities of the suspects.
Monday, Dec. 9
7:57 a.m. An officer was dispatched to Holgate Car Wash, 1115 E. Main St., about a report of criminal mischief. The officer filed a report about damage to a vacuum.
1:42 p.m. An officer was at City Market, 508 E. Main St., when he observed an intoxicated man in the store. The man was arrested for violating a protection order banning the consumption of alcohol, and he was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
Tuesday, Dec. 10
5:45 a.m. An officer served an warrant to a male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
1122 a.m. An officer witnessed a man walking in the 600 block of South Broadway who had an active warrant. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
4:28 p.m. An officer served an active warrant to a woman at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
