A ‘Christmas Quilt’ of holiday stories set for Sunflower stage

The Sunflower Theatre is gearing up for the holiday season with a three-day performance series of Christmas stories and music.

The cast of “The Christmas Quilt” features local actors of all ages, with music provided by musician Mike McAllister. They will bring to life a collection of holiday-related stories from a wide range of authors:

“Circle of Wonder” by N. Scott Momaday.“A Christmas Story” by Joseph Mitchell.“The Little Match Girl” by Hans Christian Andersen.“Snowball and Christmas” by Shel Silverstein.“Grandpa and the Christmas Crib” by J.W. Keleher.“Christmas at Red Butte” by Lucy Maud Montgomery.“Papa Panov’s Special Christmas” by Leo Tolstoy.“‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” – Tex Mex version.“The Christmas Carols and Songs Game Show”.“Christmas Trees” by Robert Frost.“Chrismukkah”.“Amazing Peace by Maya Angelou.The performances will take place at the Sunflower Theatre, 8 E. Main St., on Dec. 19 and 20 at 7 p.m., and Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $7 for kids ages 6-11, while those 5 and under get in for free.
