Dolores Rotary Club will host a Christmas lights fundraiser at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Dolores Community Center, 400 Riverside Ave.
The Dolores Rotary Club maintains the holiday wreaths lining Railroad Avenue as well as the lights on the hill that say “Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men.” Help support them at their annual Holiday Lights Fundraiser with appetizers, a ham dinner, sides and a dessert auction.
The hillside lights have been in place since the 1940s. Attend and listen to all the stories through the decades of rappelling down the ropes to change out bulbs in the snow, the making of the angel, and other Christmas tales from the community.
Adopt a hillside letter for $25 or a wreath for $50. Dolores Rotary will send letters of adoption to keep or gift to friends and family. Checks may be sent to: Dolores Rotary Club, PO Box 1082, Dolores, CO 81323. For online donation information, visit www.facebook.com/DoloresRotaryClub.
Cost is $10 per person, students are half-off, children 5 and younger are free.
