FARMINGTON – Two men were arrested for child solicitation last week, according to a news release from the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office. The incidents, which were not connected, both involved child solicitation of a 12-year-old child online and attempts to meet the child.

Adrian Chee, 25, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of child solicitation of a child under 13 years old, a felony. Rikki Harrison, 27, was arrested two days later, also on suspicion of child solicitation.

The two men were arrested through an undercover sting and arranged to meet a child at a planned location, according to Jayme Harcrow, spokeswoman from the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office.

Harcrow said there have been eight different men arrested on similar charges in the last 11 months.

“The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office will continue to be aggressive in its approach to locate and arrest child predators in our community,” her statement said.

The Sheriff’s Office encourages community members to report suspected child predators and suspicious activity to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at (800) THE-LOST (800-843-5678) or contact local dispatch at (505) 334-6622.
