Feds responsible for decline in hunting, fishing

Editor:

I am quoting from Sept. 17 newspaper, “The fading popularity of hunting and fishing is catching up to Colorado’s wildlife agency, which needs to cut about $10 million out of it’s budget next year.”

I cannot help but wonder how much of this “fading popularity” stems from the rules that the Division of Wildlife has made concerning hunters, trail closures, and all-terrain vehicles in the forest? Those rules were like putting up a sign that said, “Hunters are not welcome. We want your $500, but stay out of the national forest. It belongs to the Division of Wildlife not to the people.”
