Human trafficking workshop set for Cortez

A new task force dedicated to raising awareness around human trafficking is holding a training session along with its first meeting Wednesday.

The Four Corners Anti-Trafficking Task Force was co-founded by the Four Corners Child Advocacy Center and Angela Rae Clark, a survivor leader and human trafficking consultant. She recently presented at the Four Corners Indian Country Conference.

The Nov. 6 event will be held in the training room at the Child Advocacy Center, 140 N. Linden St. From 11 a.m. to noon, Clark will lead an informational training on trafficking, and attendees are invited to stay for a task force meeting from noon to 1 p.m.
