I want to take a moment to thank Mrs. Maxwell, the principal at Dolores Elementary School.
On Monday, Sept. 23, the parents of the children who ride some of the school buses from Dolores to Cortez were notified via phone call that the buses would be late because of a major car accident, which shut down Colorado Highway 145. Much to my surprise, Mrs. Maxwell was waiting at the bus stop on Road P (near Four Seasons Greenhouse) to make sure that each parent was aware of the delay. She told me "I just didn't want anyone to be worried!"
Mrs. Maxwell went well above and beyond her job duties on Monday, and I want to make sure she gets a proper thank you!
