On Nov. 2 Southwest Colorado Canyons Alliance will host a volunteer cleanup day of County Road 10, a main access for Canyons of the Ancients National Monument.
The event if from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers should meet at the corral on County Road 10 and BLM Road 4525. From U.S. Highway 491 in Pleasant View, turn west on County Road BB. Drive 6 miles to County Road 10. Turn south and drive 15 miles. BLM Road 4525 will be on your left. Bring water, hat, work gloves, sunscreen, snacks, long sleeves and pants, and closed-toe shoes or boots. Trash bags, orange vests will be provided.
If you would like to carpool to the meeting point, meet at the Roundup Junction, corner of U.S. 491 and Colorado Highway 184 at 8:15 a.m.
