I would like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to vote in the upcoming election on Nov. 5.
Dolores schools have experienced some serious turmoil over the past few years, but I believe the district is now moving in a positive direction.
I would love to see the Dolores School District return to its previous status of “Accredited with Distinction,” an award given by the Colorado Department of Education. When our school is strong and successful, our community will reciprocate.
In the upcoming election, voters will be asked to choose new school board members for the Dolores School District RE-4A. I strongly encourage you to vote for Lenetta Shull.
Lenetta is the current acting treasurer for the school board. Lenetta has many positive characteristics that make her a great candidate. She has a clear vision for the school: “A vision of academic excellence and social and emotional well-being for all students.” Lenetta has an extensive knowledge of school policies and procedures. She proudly supports all teachers, staff, students and our community. She is a team player and has a passion for public service.
Lenetta Shull has been a member of the Dolores School Board since 2018 and has made a positive difference, and given the opportunity to continue this service, Dolores schools will be great again!
