A benefit dinner for Emanuel “Manny” Fernandez will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at the Lewis-Arriola Community Center on Road S.
There will be Frito pies for dinner, a silent auction and a live band, Daddy O and The Redneck Rockers, for entertainment.
Manny is a four-year-old, and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. All proceeds will go to his mother to help pay for expenses.
Donations will be accepted at the door. An account has been set up at First National Bank in Cortez under “Fernandez Benefit.”
