I want to recommend Phil Kasper for the Dolores Board of Education.
I spent 12 years as a school board member in another Colorado district (RE1J) so I am familiar with the qualifications necessary to be a good school board member. I have known Phil for many years and served with him on a church deacon board, so I know well how Phil functions as a board member.
Phil is thoughtful and purposeful in his deliberations, is respectful of the opinions of others and is easy to get along with. He is conservative in his actions and is willing to make the hard decisions when needed. His honesty and integrity are beyond reproach.
Phil has spent his life in education as a teacher and administrator so he knows what is needed to make schools function well.
He is a long time Montezuma County property owner so he has seen both sides of the cost/benefit equation. Phil will do an outstanding job as a board member for Dolores. We need people of his caliber leading our school district.
