I am writing to urge property owners to vote for Ballot Issue 4A this November.
This property tax increase will be solely dedicated to teacher and staff salaries and to improving safety for the Montezuma-Cortez schools. Let’s take this opportunity to bring our teacher salary rates to more fair levels and let’s strengthen the safety measures at all the RE1 schools.
It’s really pretty simple: we must attract and retain excellent teachers that can work with the tremendous potential of our young folks. This can be an unbeatable combination for a bright and hopeful future for our community.
