The Bridge shelter will celebrate its grand opening at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the facility, 735 Park St.
The public program will include an invocation and blessings by Pastor Jean Schwien of First United Methodist Church of Cortez, Pastor Norman Mark (Navajo blessing) of Native Grace Fellowship. Speeches will be offered by key funders from Ballantine Family Fund, El Pomar, DOLA and others. The presentation of the keystone plaque will be by Laurie Knutson.
Public tours of the new facility will take place from 2 to 5 p.m.
