Wednesday, Sept. 18

9:31 a.m. A deputy was called to Belt Salvage, 6702 U.S. Highway 160, about a report of a stolen vehicle. A surveillance video showed a man carrying a revolver in a green Jeep attempting to sell a 2002 Toyota Corolla for salvage. The Corolla had been reported stolen out of Rifle. The deputy sought arrest warrants for the driver of the Jeep for aggravated motor vehicle theft, driving under restraint and possession of a weapon by a previous offender.

1:59 p.m. A deputy served an active warrant to a man at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

7:37 p.m. A deputy was called to the 25500 block of County Road T.5 about a report of a violation of a restraining order. A man was arrested for violation of the order and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Thursday, Sept. 19

6:19 p.m. A deputy was called to the 200 block of South Seventh Street about a man trying to gain entrance into a house. The man was located walking nearby and was uncooperative with officers. The man allegedly charged a deputy and was tasered. The man was arrested for obstruction of a peace officer and was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Friday, Sept. 20

8:31 a.m. A deputy was in the 17600 block of County Road 27 when he observed a man he recognized as having an active warrant for his arrest driving a silver SUV. The deputy stopped the vehicle and the driver was arrested on an active felony warrant. He was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

4:17 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve an active warrant on a female inmate.

5:27 p.m. A deputy was at the Dolores substation, 420 Central Ave., when a woman entered and presented him a jar with what appeared to be meth. She said the jar was from a rental house she was cleaning. The deputy filed a report about the incident and entered the jar into evidence.

Sunday, Sept. 22

2:19 a.m. A deputy was called to the Maverick Country Store, 10223 U.S. Highway 491, about a disturbance. A woman with a swollen face reported she had driven to the store after being hit by a former boyfriend. The deputy filed a report about the incident and filed for an arrested warrant against the suspected assailant.

Monday, Sept. 23

10:16 a.m. A deputy served an active warrant on a male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

1:55 p.m. A deputy served two active warrants on a female inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
