Cortez Public Library to show free weekly medical health videos

With the support of Colorado Area Health Education Centers, the Cortez Pubic Library will be showing free weekly medical health videos in the conference room. Those interested in attending may pre-register online at www.formstack.io/23C07. Seating is limited.

The videos will be shown each Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. from Sept. 12 through Nov. 7. The videos scheduled are:

Sept. 12: How doctors think: clinical reasoning in action, presented by Dr. Dennis Boyle and Dr. Todd Guth.

Sept. 19: A day in the life of an ENT doctor, presented by Dr. Mona Abaza.

Sept. 26: A day in the life of an infectious diseases doctor, presented by Dr. Robert Belknap.

Oct. 3: Pain, opioids and the pain of addiction, presented by Dr. Joshua Blum.

Oct. 10: Vaccines: one small step for you – a giant step for your community, presented by Dr. Laura Hurley.

Oct. 17: No class.

Oct. 24: Firearms and suicide, presented by Dr. Marian Betz.

Oct. 31: Getting the most of out your immune system, presented by JJ Cohen, MDCM, PhD.

Nov. 7: Informed consent: How informed are you? presented by Dr. Kristin Furfari.
