The San Juan National Forest Fire Program is filling permanent GS-3 through GS-9 fire positions during the Region 2 Fire Hire event.
Positions are available in Dolores Ranger District (Dolores): Suppression and Fuels Assistant District Fire Management Officers, Engines and Fuels Crew
Applicants must apply to the specific vacancy announcements listed above at www.usajobs.gov. Announcements will close on Aug. 28 at midnight. All applicants are encouraged to apply for the desired duty location and position regardless of whether the position is currently vacant. This is imperative for applicants, because vacancies occurring during fire hire will be backfilled on a rolling basis.
