No room here for mockery, conspiracies

Our forefather’s values were those of dignity within diversity. That is a fact.

It was a new narrative among old objects. No longer would kings wield power to make right. “We the people” would wield power and be “for right” in order to strengthen justice and to compel compassion. That is an ideal. I dig that ideal.

The political left berates us for not being that ideal while the right defends the ideal against change, and that is all good since there’s some truth in both the left (we can do better) and the right (we shouldn’t tear it all down), or, in other words, let’s get rid of the deadwood (left), but not throw the baby out with the bath water (right).

How do “we the people” do those things?

We need both proper values to be compassionate and trusted facts to be just. How?

Truth. How do we get to truth?

Find statespersons who present us with facts we trust and values we wish to emulate. Remember, there is no constructive cynicism.

No, people are not motivated purely by self interest, and mocking only shows a lack of understanding, maturity and courage.

There is important work to be done concerning our country. It will take courage with all the might of justice and compassion behind it. So don’t squander truth. How?

Quit the conspiracy theories, the cynicism and the mockery. It is up to you.

God Bless America.
