The next USDA surplus commodity distribution will be held Saturday, July 13.
Distribution points are the Montezuma County Fairgrounds, 30100 Highway 160, from 7:30 to 8 a.m.; the Dolores Fire Hall, 45 Railroad Ave., from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., and the Mancos United Methodist Church, 470 Grand Ave., from 7:30 t5o 8:30 a.m.
Items to be distributed are leftovers from the warehouse in Colorado Springs. Recipients must bring boxes.
Recipients who are unable to attend the distribution can provide their card and a note to someone else, authorizing that person to pick up the recipient's commodities.
2013 commodity cards can be obtained at the following locations and times:
Cortez: The senior services office in the Montezuma County Annex, 107 N. Chestnut, from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays only.
Dolores: Dolores Community Center, 400 Riverside, 11 a.m. to noon Wednesdays only.
Mancos: Masonic Lodge Senior Center, 141 E. Montezuma, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays only.
Gross monthly income limits are $1,722 for an individual, $2,333 for a couple, $3,554 for a family of four, etc.
