The For Pets’ Sake annual membership drive hits full steam right about now! For Pets’ Sake Humane Society is a steady and dependable source of assistance for pets and their families. For Pets’ Sake has helped many folks in Montezuma and Dolores counties wit veterinary bills, food for dogs and cats when things get tight, aid in finding lost pets, small foster program that rehomes dogs and cats, a larger assistance program that helps pet owners find new homes for their pets by advertising, promoting and offering guidance, trap/neuter/release program that assists property owners deal humanely with feral cats,continual assistance with spay/neuter clinics in Towaoc, and spay/neuter financial assistance within the Four Corners area. In addition, many other animal emergencies are solved with the help of For Pets’ Sake!
We have our wonderful members to thank for much of what we are able to do. The community’s financial support is crucial to our volunteer’s ability to assist you with your pet needs. For Pets’ Sake functions with volunteers only; there is no paid staff! You can be sure that your dollars stay local and directly help animals, with a budget that typically spends about 5 percent on necessary costs (for fundraising, licensing, and supplies, etc.). That mean 95 percent of funds go directly to the animals. If you have been thinking about giving to help the animals in our area, now is the time!
