Durango Cowboy Church to host Sheepdog Seminar

Durango Cowboy Church will host a two-day Sheepdog Seminar on Sept. 27 and 28 at the church, 1867 Highway 172. Sessions will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 27 and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 28.

Speakers will include Jimmy Meeks, Lt. Col Dave Grossman (ret.), Carl Chinn and Officer Greg Stevens. Meeks is a 35-year retired police officer and 45-year minister. . Grossman is a former Army Ranger, West Point psychology professor and PTSD expert. Chinn is a church safety expert. Stevens stopped two terrorists from committing mass murder and was awarded the Medal of Valor by former President Barack Obama.

The seminar is geared toward pastors, church staff, youth workers, first responders, single mothers, business owners, school teachers, administrators and anyone concerned about violence.

Early registration is $49 per person.
