Free legal clinic to be held at Mancos library
A free legal clinic for people who have no attorney, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at the Mancos Public Library at 211 West First Street in Mancos.
By computer link, volunteer attorneys will answer questions, help fill out forms and explain the process and procedure for all areas of civil litigation, including family law, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, small claims and civil protection orders
Walk-ins are welcome, and everyone will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis.
Upcoming dates are July 11, Aug. 8, Sept. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 14 and Dec. 12.
Indoor flea market ongoing
The Mancos Flea Market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Old Hardware Store, 192 S. Main, across the bridge and just past The Absolute Bakery. Everyone is welcome to come sell, browse and buy. Spaces are available - 12'x12' for $15 for both days.

Farmers Market opens
The Mancos Farmers Market is now open in Boyle Park, with fresh produce and other goodies, local music, and children's entertainment. Growers and vendors are needed; call Carrie Baikie at 759-2540.
Celebrate local music at Mancos library
Join the Mancos Public Library on Friday, July 5 at 7 p.m. for an informal celebration of the library and local music. We will be featuring talented musicians from all over the Mancos Valley with a variety of styles, including a special performance by violinist and Opera Lafayette conductor and artistic director, Ryan Brown and violinist and Director of the Stanford Baroque Soloists, Anthony Martin. Ryan and Anthony have been performing together on historical fiddles for years in various orchestral and chamber groups. Local homemade pies will be available for sale by the pie or by the slice. Suggested donation for attendance is $10 per person, all proceeds will benefit the Mancos Public Library.

VFW Ladies Auxiliary Meeting
The VFW Ladies Auxiliary No. 5231 will hold their July meeting on July 11 at 7 p.m. at the Post Home, 36 Grand Ave., Mancos.
Their regular meeting date is the first Thursday of the month, which falls on July 4, so to allow the members to celebrate our nation's independence with their families, the date has been changed. Women's small business conference
The Fourth Annual Southwest Colorado Women's Small Business Conference will take place Friday, July 13, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Durango.
Female entrepreneurs are invited to join the Colorado SBDC Network for educational seminars, one-on-one consulting, valuable networking opportunities and informative speakers.
Training topics will include marketing, sales and social media, strategic planning, the Colorado Healthcare Exchange, accounting and finances, funding options and more.

Concert season tickets
Season tickets for Southwest Colorado Concerts 2013-2014 season will be on sale at the Cortez Farmers' Market July 20, beginning at 7:30 a.m. This season begins Oct. 6, 2013 with the San Juan Symphony performing Beethoven's Symphony No. 3, Eroica at the Montezuma-Cortez High School Auditorium. The award winning German a cappella male quintet Vocaldente, which has wowed audiences throughout Europe, performs the second concert on Nov. 12. Concert pianist Charlie Albright, winner of the prestigious 2010 Gilmore Young Artist Award, performs the third concert on March 3, 2014. The 26-member Golden Dragon Acrobats performs astounding feasts of skill and daring on May 3, 2014, to finish the season at the Cortez Middle School auditorium. Season tickets for the 4-concert season are $45 for adults and $10 for youth 18 years old and younger. Season tickets also may be purchased from any Southwest Colorado Concerts board member or by mail using the flyers available at the Cortez Public Library and Cortez Recreation Center.
