Colorado Department of Transportation, Colorado State Patrol and local law agencies will conduct the Fourth of July DUI enforcement period from July 3-8.

The focus will be on preventing impaired drivers from endangering themselves and others. The enforcement period might include checkpoints, saturation patrols and increased officers on highways.

CDOT has partnered with BACtrack, a professional breathalyzer company, to urge Coloradans to check their blood-alcohol content to confirm they are sober before they drive. Breathalyzers will be offered at a 50% discount for Coloradans from July to September or while supplies last. To place an order, visit www.codot.bactrack.com.
