The Cortez Public Library will host a talk with author Ron Cooper at 6 p.m. July 12 at the library, 202 N. Park St. Cooper will share his experiences along the Cherokee Trail of Tears, National Historic Trail.
His book, “It’s My Trail Too: A Comanche Indian’s Journey on the Cherokee Trail of Tears,” is the result of years of research and a trek that took him into unexpected territory.
The event is free. Refreshments will be served.
