The K-9 Search and Rescue Team will again hold its annual pancake breakfast on Saturday, Aug. 10, during Escalante Days.

The annual pancake breakfast is the team's largest fund-raiser and features a hot cooked breakfast for a small donation. This fundraiser has become a critical link in the team's funding chain, as it is their only major fundraising event of the year. The funds from the pancake breakfast help purchase and update vital equipment and maintain basic operational readiness for when the team is needed.

More importantly, it helps the team to maintain the ability to offer their services free to the lost or missing.

Plan to come support K-9 SAR, meet the K-9ers, view the facility and hang out with the four-legged members of the team. The breakfast will begin at 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at the K-9 SAR Doghouse, 35 Railroad Ave., next to the Dolores Fire Department. Tickets are only $5 per person.

K-9 Search and Rescue Team, Inc., is a 100 percent volunteer non-profit organization headquartered in Dolores.
