Old North State to play at Distillery

The Mancos Valley Distillery will present Old North State on June 29, as part of the group's "Rollin' with the Sound Tour.".

Old North State is a bluegrass/American band founded by bothers Dillon and Jantzen Wray in 2009. Armed with bluegrass instruments, the brothers blend elements of speed punk, bluegrass, folk and rock and roll into one cohesive vision.

By 2011, the Wray brothers had already adopted a rigorous touring schedule and self-released their debut album, "Long Road Home."

In 2013, Old North State relocated form Durango to Asheville,N.D.

The group added longtime friend, Bryan Thurman, as a permanent bassist and released the "Hello, Darling" EP in April.

Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the music will begin at 8 p.m. Cover charge is $5.
