Car Seats Colorado, a joint effort between the Colorado Department of Transportation and the Colorado State Patrol, is offering families tips on staying safe on the roads this summer. Tips include:

Ensure children are in the right size car seats.Ensure straps are snug.Place kids in the safest location in the car.Don’t unbuckle restless kids.Don’t turn the car seat forward because you want your child to see the road.Don’t attach toys or after-market add-ons to the car seat.Be sure to attach the car seat base to the seat of the car.Never leave your child in the car unattended.
