After an absence of several years, the Four Corners Community Band will present two free concerts at 2 p.m. June 30 and Aug. 18 in the Cortez City Park. The concerts will be held under the large shade trees at Main and Park streets, across from the bank.
The first concert on June 30 should last about two hours and will feature patriotic favorites such as “The Stars and Stripes Forever.” The band will perform music of various styles, including originals, movie music and swing standards. The second concert on Aug. 18 will vary significantly from the June concert.
Residents are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket, snacks or a picnic lunch/dinner, and nonalcoholic drinks. No refreshments will be provided.
