The Cortez Public Library and the Cortez McDonald’s will sponsor a Growing Readers Together Storytime at 3 p.m. June 18 at McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St.
The Growing Readers Together program supports and celebrates Family, Friends and Neighbors such as grandparents, aunts and uncles and friends and neighbors as caretakers in the home and provides resources for them.
Attendees who are caring for a young child of a family member, friend or neighbor in a home setting will receive a free bag full of early-literacy materials with ideas, books and toys that help children learn to grow. The program is targeted infants to 6-year-olds and is free to all participants.
All children will receive a treat from McDonald’s.
