Cortez Public Library to host Ute Rodeo Day

Cortez Public Library and Ute Mountain Roundup Rodeo Committee will host Rodeo Day at the library on June 5.

The Ute Mountain Roundup Rodeo Committee will once again host Rodeo Day at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St. The event will include stories, a craft, music, line dancing, stick horse races, roping and a photo opportunity. Dress Western and bring your camera.

This is a free event for all ages. Each child attending will receive a free Western bandana and booklet for the rodeo, which is slated to run Thursday through Saturday, June 6-8, at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds.
