So our county commissioners have now decided to join the NIMBYs in protesting the location of a legally engineered and permitted telecom tower, to provide essential services to first responders. Not long ago, this administration threw out a $40 million tax increase proposal for fiber to every home... or broadband to every rooftop... or something really fast and great, And now they’re starting to kick around their broadband boondoggle again.
Do they realize that any viable broadband solution will require many towers, all over the county, visible to many, along with all of the protests that go along with that?
What is their policy, other than knee-jerk responses to protests? Inquiring minds want to know!
