Join Southwest Colorado Canyons Alliance to complete fence work on the Sand Canyon parking area from 9 a.m. to noon June 1 at the new parking area for Sand Canyon Trail on County Road G.
The fence separates the trail from private land and on one side and from a cultural site on the other. About 10 people are needed to complete the work from last month.
Bring water, hat, gloves, sunscreen, snacks, long-sleeve shirt and pants, closed-toe shoes or boots. The Bureau of Land Management will provide all tools needed. For more information or to register, email swcocanyons@gmail or call 560-1643.
