Mesa Elementary would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who participated in the first annual Mesa Community Fun Run that took place Saturday, April 13.
The event was a huge success thanks to your donations and participation. Our generous donors included Kokopelli Bike Shop for donating two gift cards for our young winners, Hibbits Sports for providing prizes for a drawing, the Cortez Cultural Center for providing safety vests and stop signs for our flaggers and also for helping with times, IFA for providing numbers for our participants to wear, and Southwest Community Hospital for providing an educational liaison to speak with participants.
We’d also like to say thank you to Ami Fair from the city; she was very beneficial in helping us get things going and keep participants safe on the roadways.
We would also like to thank all of the participants who made cash donations and to those who brought items to donate to the Cortez Animal Shelter. You all made a big difference in the lives of our four-legged friends! Thank you all and we look forward to seeing you again next year at the 2nd annual Mesa Community Fun Run!
