Saturday, March 23

8:36 p.m.: A couple reported damage and theft in a break-in of two RV trailers, parked in the 7100 block of County Road 25. Reported stolen: a Humming Bird fish finder and a Gander Mountain tackle box, valued at $1,500 and $350, respectively. Reported damaged: a front door and a back window, $650 and $800, respectively. The Sheriff’s Office reported no leads, and the case was closed.

9:42 p.m.: A man was cited after disregarding a stop sign in the 7000 block of County Road 25 and was given a portable breathalyzer test and released.

Monday, March 25

1:03 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at a residence in the 28300 block of County Road K.2.

Wednesday, March 27

10:30 a.m.: A male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a warrant for robbery.

1:08 p.m.: A woman was cited for driving with a suspended license and speeding in a school zone at 14th St. and Railroad Ave. in Dolores.

Thursday, March 28

8:32 a.m.: An apparently abandoned car that had been ticketed on March 25 was towed from the 17000 block of County Road G.

12:24 p.m.: A man was remanded to jail from Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

4:36 p.m.: A woman in the 40200 block of County Road H reported that her name and Social Security number were used to set up an account with the Nevada Energy Co., and $138 was charged to the account.

Friday, March 29

8:40 p.m.: A woman was pulled over on suspicion of speeding in 7000 block of County Road 21 and arrested after a search of her vehicle produced five baggies of meth (.40 gram), an open container and three other containers of marijuana (15.40 grams), a meth pipe, a marijuana pipe, several marijuana cigarette butts, several open containers of alcohol and $3,786 in cash. After an evaluation, the woman was placed on a felony hold at the Montezuma County Detention Center on suspicion of speeding, displaying fictitious license plates, driving without a valid driver’s license, driving an uninsured vehicle, possessing an open container of marijuana, possessing drug paraphernalia, DUI alcohol or marijuana or both, and possessing a controlled substance (meth).

10:50 p.m.: An apparently abandoned vehicle was towed from the 19500 block of County Road 20 after a resident reported a suspicious person was in the area. The owner of the vehicle was located and asked not to return.

Saturday, March 30

11:28 p.m.: A woman was pulled over for an unlit license plate in the 27000 County Road H.6 and cited for driving with a defective plate lamp and driving with a revoked license. She was given a warning for possessing marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.

Sunday, March 31

1:36 a.m.: A man was pulled over at 3 Weeminuche Drive in Towaoc and cited with speeding and driving without a valid driver’s license.

10:15 a.m.: After a report of a man driving 105 mph in the 14000 block of U.S. Highway 491, a deputy drove more than 100 mph to catch up with the driver, who then turned into the Maverik gas station at 10223 U.S. 491. After a search of the man’s vehicle, he was taken to jail on a felony hold on suspicion of vehicular eluding, speeding in excess of 40 mph and reckless driving.

11:17 a.m.: A man driving a vehicle with California plates was pulled over in the 2300 block of U.S. Highway 160 and cited with driving 104 mph in a 65 mph zone.

9:13 p.m.: A woman was pulled over for a missing headlight in the 24000 block of County Road G.2 and cited with driving without a valid driver’s license, driving with a suspended license and driving with a defective or missing headlight.

Monday, April 1

12:23 p.m.: A resident in the 11900 block of Road 28.1 reported that Credit Wise and Identity Shield reported that four credit cards had been opened using his personal information. He denied opening the accounts, and a deputy said the four companies were unwilling to cooperate with a search warrant.
