Afrobeatniks drummer Bradley Hoessle will teach an Explorations in Drumming class on Sunday afternoon in Mancos.
Hoessle is the director of Samba Galactica, a local Brazilian percussion marching troupe. He has studied in Cuba, Guinea and West Africa and has been teaching and performing at drum-related events for more than 25 years.
The event is hosted by local instrument store Bomdiggity, but it will be held at the Mount Lookout Grange, 680 Grand Ave. The class is open to musicians of all levels and will take place from 3-4:30 p.m., with a cost of $15 per person.
