Tell Empire Electric what you really think

Empire Electric Association (EEA) is our local non-profit electric co-op.

If you pay a monthly bill to EEA, you are a member of the co-op.

Right now, you have the opportunity, as a member, to share your opinions by completing their survey. You will receive it with your bill or you can go online to www.eea.coop, enter your account number, sign in and fill out the survey.

EEA will be using the results of the survey to assist its board of directors in developing a strategic plan.

At the end of the survey, you are able to add comments. Here are some comments from some members:

“Ask the EEA board to include in its new strategic plan goals for both carbon reduction and rate stability, to take advantage of the falling cost of renewable energy.”

“EEA has excellent solar and wind generation potential that would keep EEA dollars in our communities rather than sending them to the Front Range. EEA’s new strategic plan should include options for transitioning to a more local, renewable electric supply. The cost of renewable energy is dropping every day, and generally cheaper than the cost of electricity from the large coal plants that form the backbone of the power that EEA buys from Tri-State. It is time for EEA to study its supply options and determine a strategy to keep our costs low and our carbon footprint small.”
