The next commodity distribution in Mancos will be on Saturday, April 6. Distributions take place every one to two months. Distributions take place between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. at United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Grand Ave. and Oak Street.

If you do not have a current commodity card, you can obtain one at the Masonic Lodge Senior Center at 141 E. Montezuma Ave. on Monday, Wednesday or Friday between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. You must bring current proof of income, proof of physical address (an electric, cable or gas bill will do) and Social Security number for the head of household. The last date to register for the next distribution will be one week prior to the distribution.

Gross monthly income guidelines for 2013 are:

1 in family $1,772

2 in family $2,392

3 in family $3,011

4 in family $3,631

5 in family $4,251

6 in family $4,871

(for additional family members add $620 per person)

When picking up your commodities you must bring a box large enough for your commodities. Enough boxes cannot be supplied for everyone.

We hope having a local Mancos distribution will allow more eligible households to take advantage of this program. For additional information, please call 564-2772.
