A man found dead last week near an abandoned vehicle died by suicide, investigators said Wednesday.

Anthony Kaszowski, 57, worked in La Plata County but did not have a permanent residence here, said La Plata County Coroner Jann Smith.

He died Feb. 18, she said. His body was found near an abandoned vehicle at the end of County Road 201, in the Hermosa area.
