Most fascist thing in name of democracy

Are we a state? (“Denver looks for national alignment,” Feb. 11). Are we a country? should be the question at hand.

In response to the Colorado Senate and now 13 other states that have decided to abolish our rights as citizens by changing how Electoral College votes are rewarded: If you want to change how the Electoral College works, then each state should hold its own independent vote as we do already. Then each state is awarded one vote for whoever wins in said state and the first candidate to 26 wins!

That is democracy. (I know we are technically a representative republic, but we vote in a democratic way.)

But this is pathetic. You can say, “Well, it’s still the Electoral College,” but that’s a Trojan horse of a statement. The states in question are robbing their citizens of their voices.

This is the most fascist thing ever done in the name of democracy and I will have no part of it

I hope your hens come home to roost in these big blue states and then once they are red you will never have a voice again!

Learn how to lose and move on, re-group and try harder.

This is how democracy dies! This is how The United States of America dies!

The national popular vote has no business in presidential elections. We are voting state by state to see who will lead this union!

This is a very dangerous box that should never have been opened. What fabric is there to hold a union together if there is nothing to stake that fabric to for a state and its citizens?
