On Saturday, March 9, 2013, a benefit was held to help our son/brother, Matt Knisley with his medical expenses which he incurred from a snowboard accident. The community support for the event was phenomenal. From the wonderful items given for the silent auction to the amount of people that came and donated for the Spaghetti Supper - thank you. We are grateful to the Cortez Elks No. 1789 who willingly hosted the event and donated the food. A huge thanks is owed to the staff from the Elks who provided a wonderful meal and helped with the set-up and clean-up. Thanks to the "Cortez Cruisers" for pulling it all together - from collecting the donations, serving the food, organizing the silent auction and just anything they could do, they did.

But most of all, thanks to the community for your support! We are so lucky to live in a wonderful community where everyone cares about each other. We would also like to thank Wolf Creek Ski Patrol, Pagosa Springs Hospital, San Juan Regional Air Care, San Juan Regional Hospital and the University of New Mexico Hospital, Albuquerque, New Mexico. A very special thank you to Nate and Kristy Castillo, and Ryan and Jess Mortensen as our life is so much richer knowing you and having your friendship.

Macie, words cannot describe how wonderful you are as a sister. Thank you for being by my side through all of this.
