A woman was arrested and the Dolores Schools were locked down for a short time last Friday after an apparent road rage incident.
According to reports, a woman was arrested near the Dolores Post Office, after she allegedly threatened someone with a gun while driving along Highway 145 toward Dolores.
Because she made it into town, the decision was made to lock down the schools.
The School Resource Officer, Chris Barry, quickly notified principals of the situation and schools entered into emergency lock down, according to the school district.
"The schools were locked down as a precaution," said Montezuma County Undersheriff Robin Cronk.
"All students and staff were safely secured in our school buildings during this incident," a district note to parents said.
