New Owners at Blondie's
Blondie's Pub & Grub has new ownership, and a new name. Owner Patty Simmons has stepped down after nine years in charge and, as of last Friday, passed the torch to Desmond and Nikki Calhoon. The couple recently moved back to Cortez from Minnesota.
The Main Street establishment is now called Blondie's Trophy Room. Nikki Calhoon said the name is meant to portray the new "hunting lodge" theme.
Hours of operation will remain the same for now.
"We'll spruce up the nightlife and continue to have live music," she said.
