Once again, the Cortez Community and businesses have made the 28th Annual Community Christmas Dinner a success! Over 350 meals were served on Christmas Day at the County Annex or delivered to homebound citizens.

All of this happens because of volunteers that come out on Christmas morning, set up the tables at the Annex, carve turkeys, cook and serve meals.

Noteworthy are Brandon Schubert of Stonefish and his crew, who carve up 30 turkeys. Many, many volunteers helped cook, serve and clean up during this event. Thank you County for the use of the Annex!

Thanks to Four Seasons Nurseries and Cliffrose for poinsettias.

Thanks to MCHS-FFA and Safeway for boxes of fruit. Thanks for financial contributions from the public, Cortez Kiwanis, Vectra and Four Comers Community Banks. And thanks to the Cortez Cultural Center volunteers for taking calls for deliveries.

We are already planning for next Christmas and remember contributions can be made at Vectra and Four Comers Community Banks all year long!

Many, many thanks.
