Maybe president should pay for the wall

Congress and other top bureaucrats recently voted to increase their salary by 17 percent, or about $10,000-plus for each person.

Of course, this also includes President Trump. Why don’t Congress and Trump donate this raise to Trump’s wall instead of raising our national debt by trillions?

Of course, Trump could donate much more because he makes millions annually.

By lifting the existing pay freeze on high-ranking government officials, the conferees also paved the way for comparable salary increases for an estimated 34,000 top-level federal bureaucrats.

The pay raise was the final ornament added to a “Christmas tree” spending bill, a bill that was loaded with goodies for nearly every interest group.

The increase will raise congressional staff salaries from $60,662.50 to $70,900 annually.

Comparable raises also would go to other senior government employees.
