This weekend - Saturday night - is the Millwood Follies and the theme is "An Adventure to Oz". This event has been going on for . well, this will be the 30th year! Every year, the proceeds benefit a different organization and this year they're helping out the Women's Cancer Coalition. All the money raised will help out local women for expenses that are related to the detection and treatment of cancer, bringing reproductive cancer education to locals and events for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
There will be entertainment, door prizes, a silent auction and lots of fun! You or your business can sponsor a donation and these are the levels:
Munchkins - $25
Scarecrow - $50
Tin Man - $100
Lion - $200
Oz - Over $200
I think they just about have all the entertainment they need, but just in case they don't, you can call Karen Noack at the Millwood Junction, or get in touch with Cathy Epps, who will be the emcee for the evening.
The Follies is always a great time, even though there is standing room only for many people. The benefits go for a tremendous cause, the entertainment is local and the Millwood serves excellent food.
