Wednesday, Dec. 5

9:03 p.m.: The driver of a white 2011 Chevrolet Impala was pulled over for a defective headlight at the intersection of Madison and First streets and arrested for driving on a suspended license and for active misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear.

Thursday, Dec. 6

9:53 a.m.: A woman at the holding cell of Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St, was arrested on a warrant.

10:59 p.m.: A man was arrested at a residence on the 24000 block of County Road F on a warrant for failure to appear.

Friday, Dec. 7

8:04 a.m.: A deputy euthanized a deer struck by a vehicle on the 16000 block of U.S. Highway 491 and made arrangements with the Colorado Parks and Wildlife for an interested party to retrieve it.

7:41 p.m.: Two men were arrested in a possible robbery or assault near the 21000 block of County Road G. One faces charges of aggravated robbery, menacing, obstruction of telephone services and false imprisonment; the other, charges of aggravated robbery, menacing, obstruction of phone services, false imprisonment, DUI and driving without a license.

Saturday, Dec. 8

10:21 a.m.: A woman reported that her dog might have been stolen from a residence on the 200 block of W. Montezuma St. in Mancos. She stated her white husky went missing although it had been tethered. The case was forwarded to the Mancos Marshal’s Office.

Monday, Dec. 10

9:31 a.m.: A man in custody at the Montezuma County Detention Center, at 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a warrant for failure to appear.

12:36 p.m.: A woman on the 16000 block of County Road 30.4 reported that her son drove a yellow Hummer into her fence and the corner of her house. She said she wanted her son’s insurance to cover the damage.

3:09 p.m.: A man was arrested on an active warrant at Ute Mountain Casino, 3 Weeminuche Drive.

3:41 p.m.: A man reported a ladder was stolen from his truck on the 21000 block of County Road G while he napped at noon. Tire marks appeared to show a vehicle backed into the driveway and leave southbound. The 15-foot aluminum ladder was valued at $200. There were no suspects.

Tuesday, Dec. 11

11:20 a.m.: A man at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was remanded into custody and jailed.

5:21 p.m.: A white SUV veered off the road in the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 160 and hit about 50 yards of chain-link fencing and a metal gate. The driver had a laceration on his right arm.

Wednesday, Dec. 12

9:13 a.m.: A woman at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was remanded into custody and jailed.

9:55 a.m.: A woman at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was arrested on two failure to appear warrants.

12:29 p.m.: Officers responded to an animal cruelty case on the 13000 block of County Road 33. The owner of several horses said feeding them was too expensive. He surrendered them to the Colorado Humane Society.

11:59 a.m.: A man was arrested on the 24000 block of County Road G.2 for a failure to appear warrant.

9:46 p.m.: A woman was arrested in a domestic disturbance and for being intoxicated at a home in the 100 block of N. 12th St. in Dolores.

11:40 p.m.: A deputy stopped a vehicle with an inoperable taillight on the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 160. The driver was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

Thursday, Dec. 13

4:01 a.m.: A woman contacted the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to report that her fiance was missing for three days after an altercation. A deputy contacted several agencies in the area, and the following morning, the La Plata County Sheriff’s Office reported that a detective contacted the man by phone and he was OK.

8:46 a.m.: A woman at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was arrested on a warrant.

2:41 p.m.: A woman who visited the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St. reported that Chase Bank notified her that someone tried to open a credit card in her name. She learned the account was not opened.

3:27 p.m.: A woman reported that two of her dogs had attacked a third dog that she owns on the 8300 block of County Road 46. The dog was lying in snow surrounded by blood when a deputy arrived. The woman asked the deputy to put her dog down. She walked out of sight as the deputy shot the dog in the head. The woman thanked the deputy. A man who was walking the dog when it was attacked was injured during the fight.

Friday, Dec. 14

8:27 a.m.: A deputy euthanized an injured cow elk in the road in the 15000 block of County Road 30.

12:16 p.m.: A woman was cited for dogs not under control on the 29000 block of County Road L. Two of her dogs had reportedly gone onto a neighbor’s property.

4:28 p.m.: An intoxicated man was arrested on the 28000 block of County Road K.2 for violating pretrial conditions and a restraining order stating he shall not consume alcohol. Inside the home, a deputy moved the intoxicated man to another room to prevent his young daughter from seeing her father in handcuffs. The man reportedly was belligerent and uncooperative.
