In two of your recent opinion pieces, you said there was a racist element within the TEA Party and that Republicans were to blame for not extending the debt ceiling. I understand that these are just opinions, but in order for you to have any credibility among your readers, you should at least be factual and fair. In regards to the racism claims, which TEA Party members are you accusing of being racist? And what specific act of racism did they commit? If you were to be fair you would mention the long history of racism among the Democratic Party - for instance, Sen. Byrd and George Wallace, just to name a couple.
When it comes to the debt ceiling, you blame the Republicans for not wanting to raise it, yet I've never once read where you blamed Democrats for being the driving force in getting us into this predicament. Have you ever blamed the Democratically controlled Senate for not passing a budget for four years? Have you ever criticized Nancy Pelosi for saying we have to pass it so we can see what's in it? Have you ever pointed out Al Gores hypocrisy's for selling his TV station to AL Jazeera? How about the administration's policy to kill American citizens with drone strikes? I'm pretty sure if we had a Republican administration we would never hear the end of it. The point is, a wrong is a wrong and you should point that out no matter what side of the isle they sit on.
