The hospital is a critical component to any community and very important to Cortez since we are more isolated than other communities.
I think that the entire board that oversees the operation of the hospital need to resign.
The board members have let the hospital get into critical financial problems. They have failed the community in their oversight of the hospital’s financial situation.
How could the hospital engage in a multimillion-dollar expansion and yet need over $9 million in basic repairs that have not been done?
How can they allow a multimillion-dollar expansion and have to lay off a significant number of employees since they are in violation of their bond reserves?
Obviously, the board is lacking in basic oversight.
The board must not have asked the hospital management any serious questions over the last several years.
The members are incompetent and have allowed a very dangerous situation to develop. The community is now in danger of losing the hospital due to their negligence.
People should be upset with what these board members have done to our community. The entire board needs to resign immediately.
